£100m-rated star agree personal terms to complete Man United switch

Barcelona have made a transfer offer for French midfielder Paul Pogba according to several reports from Italy. The reports suggest that a deal is close to fruition with United rejecting an initial offer of £40 million plus Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes.

Pogba is rumoured to be on the radar of Barcelona and his agent Mino Raiola is believed to have jetted off to Manchester to negotiate a transfer fee. The Mirror says that the 25-year-old midfielder has agreed on personal terms with the Catalan outfit which would see him earn £100million over five years. The Catalan club are also willing to wait as the Spanish window does not close until August 31.

Pogba has had his share of disagreements with head coach Jose Mourinho and struggled to impose himself in the team at some time last season. Barcelona want to use the interest of United in towering defender as an extra incentive for the Old Trafford outfit to sell the world cup winner.

Pogba was impressive at the just concluded final playing a disciplined role in the midfield and scored the third goal in the 4-1 victory over Croatia in the final.  Spanish tabloid Mundo Derportivo had earlier suggested that a swap cash deal involving Ivan Rakitic could be offered to the Red Devils.

However, it is hard to see Pogba leaving United this season as he has always expressed his desires to succeed at the Theatre of Dreams.
