Unai Emery has endured a frustrating transfer window due to the financial condition at Arsenal. The former PSG coach is only allowed to bring in players on loan and has been sourcing for players that can improve the team.

According to L’Equipe Emery is keen to reunite with  PSG prodigy Christopher Nkunku, the report claims that Arsenal are in advanced talk with PSG over a loan deal. It is understood that Nkunku is interested in the move due to the lack of first-team opportunities this season.

The 21-year-old has made just 13 appearances in the league with Thomas Tuchel preferring other options. A move to the Emirates stadium is seen by the player as a chance to continue his development.

L’Equipe also says that PSG would only sanction a transfer if they can bring in reinforcements in the midfield. The Paris outfit are currently short of options in the midfield and have been linked to a host of midfielders. Everton ace Idrissa Gueye and Zenit St Petersburg playmaker Leandro Paredes are among the players on the club’s radar.

It is expected that the loan deal would include an option to buy in the summer. Nkunku is known as a dynamic box to box midfielder and he could be the long-term replacement for Juventus bound Aaron Ramsey.
