24-year-old defender interested in completing Chelsea move



Dutch international, Stefano Denswil has admitted it would be an honor to play for his dream club, Chelsea in the future.

The Dutch defender currently plays for Belgian Pro league side, Club Brugge and was on the verge of joining English side, Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer but the deal failed to materialise with Club Brugge not willing to sell.

However, the defender has not given up hope of playing in the Premier League after he revealed he would love to play for the Premier League champions in the nearest future.

Stefano Denswil as quoted on his dream club Chelsea, he said:

It would be nice if I could ever play there. He also added,

‘As a defender you really learn to defend there.’

The 24-year-old began his career at local side, Hellas Sport in Zaandam before being recruited into the famous Ajax acamedy in 2001.

Meanwhile, in the 2012/13 season he was promoted to the first team by Frank De Boer and made his official debut for Ajax in the third round of the KNVB Cup against ONS Sneek on the 31st of October.

He made his European debut against Catalan giants, Barcelona in a 4-0 away loss at the Nou Camp on the 18th of September in 2013 but moved to the Club Brugge in the winter of 2015 for an undisclosed fee and has grown into one of the finest defenders in the Belgian Pro League.

The former Ajax defender has featured in 23 games for Club Brugge across all competitions scoring 4 times and he is known for his concentration, passing and defensive contributions.

Although, he isn’t on the Blues radar but if he keeps churning out series of impressive displays he could draw the attention of Antonio Conte in the nearest future.
