3-4-3: Experienced predicted lineup to face Chelsea

The Carabao Cup semi-final second leg is upon us as Arsenal host Chelsea on Wednesday, a game that promises to be a fierce battle between the arch rivals.

Arsenal held Chelsea to a barrel draw at the Stamford Bridge a fortnight ago and will be hoping to progress to the finals where they would square up against Manchester City. The Gunners will not get to see new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan tonight, as he is cup tied, having played for Manchester United against Bristol City.

Arsenal  have a number of injury concerns going into this game. Aaron Ramsey is suffering from an illness and is likely to remain on the sidelines.

Danny Welbeck is also a doubt for this game, as he is yet to fully recuperate from the muscle problem which ruled him out of the game against Crystal Palace.

Inform star, Nacho Monreal is yet to recover from his hamstring problem. The left-back will be sorely missed in the Arsenal team, as he was the creative hub for his side against Crystal Palace, delivering one goal and two assists before limping off in the 34th minute. The likes of Oliver Giroud and Santi Cazorla will also not play due to hamstring and Achilles problem respectively.

Arsenal are expected to field an experienced side against Chelsea who have not been at their best either. Antonio Conte’s men look jaded but expect them to come up with one or two surprises though.

Here’s how Arsenal may line up against Chelsea tonight:

Ospina, Holding, Mustafi, Koscielny, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Wilshere, Bellerin, Iwobi, Ozil, Lacazette
