Premier League champions, Chelsea entertain London rivals, Arsenal in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

Both sides will be facing each other for the second time in the space of a week with both teams playing out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Emirates on New Year’s day.

Antonio Conte made nine changes in the Blues unconvincing 0-0 draw away at Carrow Road in the FA Cup but key players are set to return to the starting lineup with the visit of Arsene Wenger’s men on Wednesday night at the Bridge.

However, the Gunners will be coming into this match low on confidence after being dumped out the FA Cup by championship side, Nottingham Forest in a 4-2 loss.

Although, it was a heavily rotated Gunners side that lost to the championship side but the Gunners have only won one in their last five while the Blues are currently on an eight match unbeaten run.

We take a look at the Blues predicted line-up against the Gunners at the Bridge on Wednesday.

Goalkeeper

Belgian shotstopper, Thibaut Courtois has been brilliant in goal so far this season and has shown why he will always been linked with a move to Real Madrid after a series of impressive displays.

He is arguably one of the best goalkeepers in the world and would be expected to return to the starting line-up barring any injury worries.

Defence

The impressive duo of Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen were left out of the Blues starting line-up against Norwich in the FA Cup with Conte deciding to rest some of his key players and went for a trio of Rudiger, David Luiz and Gary Cahill but both are expected to return to the Blues starting line-up tomorrow barring any injury worries.

Christensen is expected to remain in the heart of the defence while both Azpilicueta and Cahill are expected to remain on the right and left hand side of the defence respectively.

Midfield

A five man midfield is expected with Conte likely to make some changes and revert to his preferred 3-5-2 formation having used 3-4-3 in the Blues last game against Norwich over the weekend. In the middle of the park a central midfield pairing of Kante, Fabregas and Drinkwater is expected with the energetic midfielder N’Golo Kante expected to provide cover for the defence while the duo of Fabregas and Drinkwater are expected to support the attack and marshall the midfield.

At wing-back, both Moses and Alonso are expected to provide more width from the right and left side of the midfield not neglecting their defensive duties.

Attack

In attack, the impressive duo of Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata are expected to return to the starting line-up and lead the line with both forming a lethal partnership and understanding up-front so far this season.

Probable Lineup(3-5-2): Courtois, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Cahill, Moses, Kante, Fabregas, Drinkwater, Alonso, Hazard, Morata.
