Alexendre Lacazette to Persuade Antoine Griezmann to join Arsenal

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette in a recent interview as said that he will try to convince France teammate Antoine Griezmann to join Arsenal.

Atletico Madrid forward, Antoine Griezmann has been linked with a move out of the Spanish club several times in the past with Manchester United being his potential destination but his almost certain departure from Atletico Madrid in the summer was constrained by the FIFA imposed ban on the club.

Though the Frenchman has until 2022 with the Spanish giants, he could be making a move out of the club in the next transfer window with Alexandre Lacazette looking to persuade him to sign for Arsenal.

The striker said this in his interview with Match of the Day Magazine:

“If he visits me in London, I’m going to ask him to sign for Arsenal,”

“We’re very good friends and have lots of fun. Our nicknames for each other are Griezzy and Lacaz.”

Griezmann move to Arsenal will be a major boost to the Gunners side who are expecting the departure of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil who have both failed to renew their contracts which is expected to expire at the end of the season. Arsenal fans are already fantasizing about a French attacking line of Griezmann, Alex Lacazatte and Thomas Lemar who has also been linked with a move to Arsenal.

France International footballer, Lacazette joined Arsenal from Lyon in the summer for a club record transfer deal worth £46.5 million and has racked up 4 goals for the gunners in the premiership so far this season.
