Almost done: Chelsea submits huge bid for Napoli defensive Lynchpin

The fact that Kalidou Koulibaly is a player of interest to Chelsea and Barcelona is nothing new.

The Italian media has continued to reiterate that the Blues have not in any point in time lost interest to sign the Napoli player for over a year and till this present time.

It has been like that when former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte was at the helms of affair, and when the new manager Maurizio Sarri took over, the claims continue to remain the same.

Juventus defender Daniele Rugani was the main Serie A defender that was linked to Chelsea in the summer transfer window, and had previously worked under Sarri, but they got a boost given the Napoli connection.

With the present several offers claimed, France Football has taken it to the highest level in their edition this week.

It has claimed that Chelsea submitted an exorbitant offer of €80million for the France born Senegal international player.

Despite the fact that all failed, France Football has made it known that Barcelona scouts have been following Koulibaly as to see whether they should make a move in signing the player.

Chelsea is offering a huge amount which is very unlikely for Barcelona to match, giving the Blues advantage over the situation.

The defender will be well aware that he is not going to leave cheaply especially now that he has renewed his contract with Napoli last September.
