Manchester United have handed out an improve contract to Anthony Martial if reports are to be believed.

The France International reportedly passed on the opportunity of a contract extension last October. Who won’t when shackled by Jose Mourinho?

With the departure of the “Special One” and the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as interim coach, the unshackled 23-year-old is close to complete a five year contract extension according to reports.

Since the appointment of the Norwegian, Manchester United have won all the seven matches they have played both in the league and Cup games.

As such, everybody who has anything to do with the club is delighted at the huge turn of fortunes currently being experienced at the club.

To this end, Martial is not the only player willing to continue playing for the club, with reports also linking David De Gea to an extension.

Marcus Rashford is also expected to be offered a contract extension after some promising start by the young striker.

Martial, 23, who was recruited by Van Gaal has made 13 appearances this season contributing 8 goals to the team and an assist to his name.

His brilliant performances have merited an improved contract which will see his £75,000 a week wages bettered if all goes well.
