Antonio Conte linked with a shock move for English striker

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte is reportedly keen on signing English striker, Andy Carroll on-loan from West Ham this January transfer window as the Italian tactician hope to ease their goal scoring woes.

The Blues have struggled for goals in recent games having scored just twice in four games across all competitions.

Reports from English publication the Sun understands the former Juventus boss is keen on signing Andy Carroll on loan from West Ham this month with Conte refusing to trust Belgian striker, Michi Batshuayi.

The former Newcastle forward is reportedly frustrated with his lack of playing time at the London Stadium having lost his place to in-form striker Marko Arnautovic who looks rejuvenated under new manager, David Moyes.

However, the striker could be open to a move to Stamford Bridge and would definitely be excited at the prospects of playing in the UEFA Champions League and the chance to play under Antonio Conte.

He has featured in 14 games for the Hammers across all competitions scoring 2 goals and he is known for his excellent heading ability, shooting from distance, aerial prowess, long balls, physicality, finishing, link-up play and also an indirect set-piece threat.

The 29-year-old will be a good addition to the Blues and would add another dimension to the Chelsea attack due to his aerial prowess.

Although, many would argue if his Chelsea quality and his track record of getting injured easily would represent a big risk for the Blues.
