Antonio Conte makes failed transfer target his No. 1 priority in January

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has made Juventus defender, Alex Sandro his number one target in the January transfer window after initial move for the Brazilian failed to materialize in the summer.

The Italian tactician is ready to add quality to his defence with Spanish wing-back Marcos Alonso the only senior left-back at the club.

The Spaniard has played virtually in every game for the Blues in all competitions so far this season and the former Juventus boss had to rest him in midweek and started summer signing Zappacosta as a makeshift in the left-wing back role against Atletico Madrid in a 1-1 draw against Spanish side Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

However, according to reports from English publication The Telegraph, the Serie A giants might be willing to part ways with the Brazilian defender after relationship with key members of the club has gone sour and could be available for a reduced price in the region of £50 after a price tag of £80 million was placed on him in the summer.

Although, the Italian giants will only sell him in the winter transfer window if a suitable replacement is in place before the end of the year.

Alex Sandro will definitely be a quality addition to the Blues if he eventually joins the club in the winter transfer window and would provide stiff competition for Marcos Alonso.

He has grown into one of the best left-backs in the world and he is known for his pace, versatility, dribbling, crossing and tackling.
