Antonio Conte reveals Chelsea star is fit to face Arsenal

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has acted like a personal injury attorney, as he has revealed Belgian playmaker, Eden Hazard has recovered from a calf problem and is fit to play in the Blues first leg semi-final clash against London rivals, Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.

The Belgian attacking midfielder was on the scoresheet in the Blues 2-2 draw away at the Emirates Stadium last week having scored a penalty in the second half to draw the champions level after falling behind to a well struck shot by Jack Wilshere.

However, the Belgian international sat out Chelsea’s 0-0 draw at Carrow Road against Norwich in the FA Cup but has given the Blues a huge boost for the crunch tie at the Emirates tonight after been declared fit to face the Gunners.

Antonio Conte as quoted on Belgian superstar, Eden Hazard, he said;

“Eden is in good physical condition,” He also added,

“He recovered from this little problem in his calf and is ready and in contention for tomorrow’s game.”

The 27-year-old has been pivotal for the Blues so far this term since he returned from an ankle injury that kept him out for several weeks early into the new campaign and has featured in 26 games across all competitions for the defending champions scoring 9 times and providing 4 assists.

The Blues have not had much joy against the Gunners in recent games having failed to win any of their last four meetings across all competitions but Italian tactician, Antonio Conte would be hoping influential playmaker, Eden Hazard can help his side end their winless streak against the Gunners tonight at Stamford Bridge by taking a massive advantage into the second leg at the Emirates Stadium in a fortnight.
