Arsenal agree £22.3m fee to complete defender move

Arsenal have had an offer of a loan deal tabled for their German defender but the club is only willing to part with him on a permanent basis, and £22.3 million is the going rate for the player, per various reports.
Galatasaray who won the Turkish Super Lig for the 21st time last season, are interested in taking on-loan Shkrodan Mustafi to bolster their squad for the forthcoming champions league campaign
The gunners have rejected the loan offer and are instead open to a permanent deal for the 26-year old defender who garnered 28 appearances for the club last season.
What Arsenal are demanding for the player is a little high for the Turkish club who are under pressure from financial fair play to curb spending or face the threat of being suspended from European competition.
Arsenal willingness to deal outright on the German is informed by the recent investment on Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Konstantinos Mavropanos.
The centre back pairing, although looking uncertain will most likely feature the aforementioned duo even if Sokratis offers more experience in the English topflight.
