Arsenal in contacts with Manchester United over Anthony Martial

According to recent media report, Arsenal have reportedly made contacts with their Premier League rivals Manchester United to communicate their interest in signing Anthony Martial.

Anthony Martial who has been said to be frustrated due to his lack of playing time in the Mourinho side, having made one start in the league for Manchester United this season even though he has found the back of the net thrice and assisted once in the league, could still be considering a move away from Old Trafford even though his contract ends by 2019.

The French professional footballer was signed to Manchester United by Louis Van Gaal for a fee of £58 million which was the highest fee paid for a teenager. He had an impressive debut season which saw him being awarded the Golden Boy as Europe’s best under-21 player in 2015. But he has since been frustrated in the Jose Mourinho side having lost his spot in the starting lineup.

Arsenal Boss, Arsene Wenger is said to be interested in signing the 21-year-old who was tipped to be the next Thierry Henry. The Gunners tactician would be looking to strengthen his squad despite the signing of Sead Kolasinac and Alex Lacazette in the summer, he could be preparing for the departure of top players like Alexis Sanchez and Mesut who are running out of contract and have refused to renew their respective contracts.
