Arsenal fans urge club to sign attacker after he was spotted in London

Riyad Mahrez was reportedly spotted by Fans sneaking out of the Emirates in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup. The Algerian star has been linked to various clubs including Arsenal as a replacement for Sanchez.

The former PFA Player of the Year was spotted by ArsenalFanTV during the match in which he was captured putting on a hood.

Arsenal fans began yelling “Mahrez, what are you doing here” and “Riyad, are you signing?” . The identity under the hood was speculated to be the Algerian ace. Some excited fans surrounded his car to catch a glimpse of the player before he took off.

Mahrez fellow country man and teammate Islam Slimani posted on Instagram a picture from inside the Emirates stadium to confirm the Speculation.

Mahrez has rediscovered his former under Claude Puel with the Algerian ace scoring nine goals and providing seven assists this season. Mahrez, who handed a transfer request in the summer, has two years left in his contract.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are still frontrunners to sign Gabonese star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Dortmund, with negotiations for the player at an advanced stage. The German club are reportedly holding out for £70 million which has caused a snag in the transfer.
