Arsenal make £45m Cengiz Under decision

Arsenal are reportedly in the clear to sign £45m rated Roma’s winger Cengiz Under who is impressing scouts.

The Gunners were said to be hugely interested in bringing Turkish winger Cengiz Under to the Emirates and even had a £35m bid rejected. Roma was holding out for something close to £45m.

Chelsea, along with Arsenal, Bayern Munich and a host of other clubs were interested, but it seems the transfer fee slapped on the player has ward off their interest in the winger.

Under would of course be a good signing for any club especially Arsenal given their lack of depth in the wide area with some players carrying injuries, thereby making the team look threadbare.

In addition, the players who man these positions for Arsenal such as Danny Welbeck, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and so on are not only injury prone but their quality are most times call into question.

But it seems the transfer wouldn’t come to fruition as it is unlikely Arsenal will return for him again after their offer of £35m was initially rejected.

Under is hugely talented and his departure from Roma would be a big blow to the club hence the huge transfer fee to compensate for the vacuum the player will create.

The Turkey International has had an impressive 18 months in Serie A and the clubs looking to sign him is prove of how effective a success he is.
