Arsenal set to move for highly rated youngster in January



Arsenal are reportedly stepping up chase for Hoffenheim midfielder, Nadiem Amiri in the January transfer window,as per report from the Sun.

The Gunners might have to fend off competition from fellow Premier League clubs such as Manchester United and Tottenham who are also keen on signing the talented youngster.

German international, Nadiem Amiri joined German side, Hoffenheim in 2012 from Waldhof Mannheim for an undisclosed fee and made his Bundesliga debut on the 7th of February in a 3-0 defeat away at Wolfsburg.

With top clubs making enquiries for the midfielder, Hoffenheim are resigned to losing their fast-rising star in the January transfer window once a reasonable offer is submitted for the attacking midfielder.

Although, he is not expected to come cheap with his contract at the Rhein Neckar Arena set to expire in 2020.

He is primarily deployed in an attacking midfield role and could also play anywhere in the attack especially as a forward and on the left-hand side of the midfield.

The 21-year-old has featured in 18 games across all competitions for Hoffenheim scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.

The attacking midfielder get fouled often due to his style of play and he is also known for his dribbling, concentration and long shots.

Given his age, potential and the level of maturity he has displayed over time he could be a potential replacement for German superstar, Mesut Ozil who has refused to extend his contract at the Emirates.
