Arsenal to agree deal for £25m-rated attacker – not Suarez

The winter window is filled with reports of players leaving their clubs to pitch tents with bigger ones or the ones they are more wanted.

Arsenal have reportedly held talks with Dalian Yifang’s Yannick Carrasco over a possible winter transfer to the Emirates that could set them back £25 million.

The winger plays for a Chinese club but his style of play might be too much for a league not as well watched as the Premier league. No disrespect intended.

In the reports, the player’s representatives have held talk with Arsenal and the youngster seems overly keen to join but he club is unwilling to let one of their priced assets leave.

The Chinese club has appointed a coach with pedigree to manage their footballing affairs which could see a couple of player stay put regardless of the club making enquiries for them.

The 25-year-old Belgian might not leave considering the small fact that the coach recently appointed by the Chinese outfit to manage the team is Leonardo Jardim.

Jardim managed Carrasco while both were at Monaco. So he knows the player well and might be successful in convincing him to stay in Asia.

However, the Belgian might not be too taken in by the idea of ignoring an European giant playing in the most watched league in the world because of a manger he worked with prior.

The report also claimed that the player is yearning to revive is European career so hopefully joining Arsenal might just be what he needs to excel.
