Arsenal football club are reportedly on the verge of completing their first January signing under Unai Emery.

The manager is interested in signing Barcelona out of favour midfielder, Denis Suarez who he coached while he was managing Sevilla.

Suarez, 24, joined Barcelona in 2016 and made 36 appearances in his debut season. These appearances have since declined for the impressive midfielder due to the number of talents at the club’s disposal in that department.

Unai Emery is therefore hoping to afford the player who he featured 47 times for his Sevilla side, an escape route to reinvent his football.

If they can secure the services of Suarez, Ramsey might depart given that Juventus are lurking for the Wales international.

The Gunners will look to see how to manage their squad as they have no funds due to high wage bill and poor recruitment and transfer policies in the past according to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzia.

It is therefore important that Arsenal sell before they can buy to at least balance their books for the coming campaigns.

If they qualify for the Champions League this season following incessant absent from the competition in the past, revenue might increase which will in turn assist in player recruitment.
