Arsenal on the verge of sealing deal for powerful striker

Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck has been linked to a transfer move to Valencia CF as the club prepares to get him signed before the close of the transfer window.

According to report from Super Deporte, the Spanish club Valencia have made contacts with Arsenal concerning Welbeck’s future.

The reports also claim that Valencia are deliberating taking the step they took with Simone Zaza by loaning the player with the option of buy-out included in the deal.

Meanwhile, their top preference if the step is to be taken is Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi and they appear to already be in negotiations for the Belgian striker.

Although, the departure of the Belgian international doesn’t appear to be an option following the low performance of Alvaro Morata and recently, Olivier Giround is used as a super sub.

On the other hand, for Welbeck to feature in games, he has to displace the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, plus the upcoming Eddie Nketiah but he could also move out wide if he can compete with the likes of Alex Iwobi, Mesit Ozil, Reiss Nelson, Joel Campbell and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

However, Valencia’s target will be known soon enough and it wouldn’t be that much of a surprise if Welbeck shows interest to exit Chelsea to give him more opportunities for a better football career.
