Arsene Wenger concedes fully fit attacking option gives him selection headache

Arsenal returned to winning ways in the Premier League last weekend having suffered a shocking 2-1 loss at the Vicarage Road a fortnight ago, but the attacking trio of Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez who started together for the first time this season inspired the Gunners to a 5-2 victory at the Goodison Park on Sunday. German playmaker, Mesut Ozil who have been heavily criticized by both the fans and Club Legends so far this season delivered a masterclass performance at the Goodison Park on Sunday by scoring a goal and assisting one and created the most chances (8) by any player in the Premier League last weekend.

Arsene Wenger believes it’s a blessing to have a fully fit attacking options but it also concedes it gives him selection headache ahead of our fourth round clash against championship side Norwich City in the Carabao Cup tonight.

Arsene Wenger as quoted on his fully fit attacking options ahead of Norwich visit tonight, he said;

“That’s the luxury I have at the moment,” Wenger said about Arsenal’s fully-fit attacking line-up.

“It’s a difficulty I have as well because all of these players are doing well and playing well and they deserve to play. Fortunately, we have important games every week so I give competition to everybody. He also added,

“We have so much offensive force on the bench as well that it’s really a strong point of the club at the moment.”

The League Cup is the only trophy in England that Frenchman Arsene Wenger is yet to win in his 21 years reign at the Emirates and would be hoping he gets lucky this term after losing two finals against Chelsea in Cardiff in 2007 and also losing to Birmingham City at Wembley in 2011.

The Frenchman is known for giving youth a chance in the League Cup and his expected to continue his policy tonight with the likes of Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland Niles handed starting berth against Doncaster in the third round phase of the competition. Wenger will likely rest key players and the likes of Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott, Alex Iwobi and Olivier Giroud are expected to start tonight after finding games hard to come by this season.
