Arsene Wenger identifies Brazilian winger as Alexis Sanchez replacement

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has reportedly identified Bordeaux winger, Malcolm Filipe Silva as a replacement for Manchester City bound Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean forward is reportedly close to a move to the Etihad Stadium but the Gunners want to sign a replacement before the contract rebel can finalize his move to the Premier League leaders.

The Gunners have already held talks with Bordeaux ahead of a potential winter move for the Brazilian youngster who is keen on a move to the Emirates.

Talksports reports that the Gunners are favorites to land the Brazilian international but will have to fend off competition from fellow Premier League rivals, Manchester United and Tottenham who are also interested in signing the player and could be available for a fee in the region of £45 million.

The 20-year-old began his career at Brazilian side, Corinthians but joined French side, Bordeaux in the winter of 2016 for an undisclosed fee and has gradually developed into one of the finest wingers in the French League.

He has featured in 21 games across all competitions for Bordeaux scoring 7 times and providing 4 assists and he is known for his pace, long shots, dribbling, creativity, vision, crossing, set-piece specialist and also get fouled often due to his style of play.

Although, he might not be the perfect replacement for Alexis Sanchez but given his age and massive potential he would be a quality addition to the Gunners squad.
