Arsene Wenger leaks surprise transfer news

According to the legendary manager, Arsene Wenger, managing Bordeaux is on the wish list of  Arsenal legend Thiery Henry. Bordeaux have been thrown into a state of confusion after the club’s manager Gus Poyet was suspended for calling the club a disgrace.

Bordeaux had sold striker Gaetan Labored behind the coach which was unacceptable to Gus Poyet and he lashed out at a press conference last week leading to the suspension. Arsene Wenger claims that Henry wants to manage the French side as he sojourns into management.

Henry had earlier in the month quit from his punditry role with Sky Sports in a bid to further his managerial ambitions.  The French legend had earlier been appointed as the assistant manager of Belgium by former Everton Boss Roberto Martinez in 2016.

Wenger believes that Henry has the qualities to become a successful manager but questions if he can sacrifice a part of his life to be dedicated to the coaching profession. Henry would be a good coach as he has the playing pedigree and tutelage from some of the best in the world having played under Wenger and Guardiola.

“Yes, he wants to do it,” Wenger told Corse Matin. “He is intelligent and he has the qualities.

“The existential question that we always ask ourselves is whether we are ready to sacrifice our life for the coaching profession.”

If Henry takes the Gauntlet at Bordeaux it would mean that three of the best performers in the EPL since the turn of the century would be making coaching debuts this season. Gerard is currently managing Scottish giants Rangers while Lampard is in charge of Championship side Derby County.
