Atletico Madrid Boss, Diego Simeone showers Encomium on Alvaro Morata



Atletico Madrid head coach, Diego Simeone in his press conference showered praises on inform Chelsea striker, Alvaro Morata while refusing to comment on Diego Costa.

Chelsea will pay a visit to Spanish side Atletico Madrid in their new stadium Wanda Metropolitano, in a bid to record a victory after four games without a win against Atletico Madrid.

The Atletico Madrid boss identified how much of a threat Alvaro Morata is and how difficult it is to curtail the striker who has found the back of the net six times in the Premier League for Chelsea this season.

Alvaro Morata who joined Chelsea from Real Madrid for a fee of £55m during the summer will be looking at continuing his impressive run for Chelsea who are sitting at the top of the Group C table having demolished Qarabag by 6 goals to nil in their opening match.

The match will be Diego Simeone’s 50th Champions League match in charge of Atletico Madrid and would be looking to secure a win against Group C rivals Chelsea after a goalless draw against Seria A side, AS Roma in their opening match.

“Morata is a very important player,” Simeone told reporters at his pre-match press conference.

“He has great movement in the box, he knows how to play with his back to goal and can keep the ball.

“He will perform really well at Chelsea alongside players like Willian, [Eden] Hazard and Pedro.”
