After Bernd Leno, agent confirms Arsenal close to completing goalkeeper transfer

Arsenal summer spree has brought several new faces to the club. However, this will  mean several players in the club would be considering their future with the club. David Ospina is among those whose future is uncertain ever since the arrival of Bernd Leno who relegates the Colombian to third-choice goalkeeper.

Ospina was impressive in the World Cup for Colombia and is reportedly under the radar of several clubs this summer. The shot-stopper valued at £6 million is said to be wanted by Argentine giants Boca Juniors according to the Daily Mirror.

However, Ospina agent has spoken about his client’s future, claiming that although the player is not happy with his current situation in the club, it would be difficult to complete an exit move due to Arsenal’s valuation of Ospina.

“There are several clubs interested in David, but leaving Arsenal is not easy because they’re team that pays well and asks a lot for the player, and we must add that he has a contract for two more years.”

Though he admitted that several clubs are interested in the player and Ospina would prefer to play for a European club.

“The priority is Europe, but as I say, we have to wait.”

Ospina is a qualitie goalie known for his acrobatic saves. He has always been reliable at the Emirates stadium but has not managed to dislodge Petr Cech as the first choice goalkeeper.

Ospina has been fairly successful during his time with Arsenal winning two FA cups during his stint with the North London club.
