Big boost for Arsenal as transfer target’s boss drops huge hint

Arsenal have been handed transfer boost in the race to sign Steven N’zonzi, with Sevilla boss Vincenso Montella claiming Nzonzi could leave the club in this current transfer window.

The Defensive Midfielder has been a success since his switch from Stoke City in the summer of 2015, playing a major role in the club’s multiple success in the Europa league.

An apparent fall- out with Sevilla’s boss Vincenzo Montella this season and subsequent ouster from the first team has led to speculation been rife about a possible exit from the club. The Frenchman was spotted at Gatwick Airport in London last month, amidst rumours of a potential switch to a London club.

Arsenal are reportedly keen on the defensive maestro, with the club making the 29 year-old a January transfer target.

The Gunners could seek to replace the erratic Granit Xhaka who has failed to impress since his switch from hometown club FC Basel, homegrown player,  Frank Coquelin have been deemed a misfit for the role, leaving the club with few options but to search for adequate replacements in the transfer market.

Everton’s Boss Sam Allardyce has also recently been linked with a re-union with N’zonzi, having signed him as an unknown quantity while at the helm of Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2009.
