Chelsea in advanced talks for £20m-rated striker, Player wants move

Chelsea have reportedly open talks with West Ham over the possibility of signing English striker, Andy Carroll this month.

The English international has been on the radar of the Blues this winter transfer window with Antonio Conte keen on bolstering his attacking options before the window shuts.

The Blues have struggled massively in front of goal since the beginning of the New Year having scored just twice and drawn all their last four games across all competitions.

Despite having the same number of points (47) as Liverpool, the Blues sit fourth on the log due to the Reds superior goal difference and with the race for the top four getting tougher, Antonio Conte is keen on bringing in Andy Carroll as a back-up option to out of form Alvaro Morata.

Reports making the rounds claim out of favor striker, Michy Batshuayi will be allowed to join Spanish side, Sevilla on-loan till the end of the season once Andy Carroll completes his switch to Stamford Bridge.

However, it is believed the Hammers will be open to selling the former Liverpool striker for a reported fee of £20 million rather than allowing him join the Blues on loan till the end of the season according to reports from English publication the Dailymail.

He has featured in 14 games for West Ham across all competitions scoring 2 goals and he is known for his excellent heading ability, long shots, aerial prowess, physicality, finishing, and link-up play.

The 29-year-old will be a good addition to the Blues given his proven Premier League experience and would offer Antonio Conte another dimension to the Chelsea attack due to his aerial prowess.
