Chelsea linked with a sensational move for proven Premier League hitman

Premier League champions, Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo this winter transfer window.

The Portuguese talisman has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu in recent weeks with reports suggesting the World best player has fallen out with key members of the club and would be open to a move away from the Los Blancos.

However, report from Daily Express says that the prolific hitman is a primary target for Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte in the January transfer window and has reportedly made an offer for the Portuguese winger.

The Blues might have to fend off competition from English giants, Manchester United and Ligue 1 leaders, Paris Saint Germain who have also showed keen interest in the Real Madrid forward.

The veteran striker recently signed a new deal with the Spanish giants last year which expires in 2021 and has is release clause set at €1 billion.

Although, according to reports in Spain, the former Manchester United winger has told the Real Madrid hierarchy to reduce his release clause to a considerable fee in other to secure a move away from the Bernabeu.

The 32-year-old has struggled for goals in the La Liga this season scoring just four times but he has been key for the Los Blancos across all competitions scoring 15 times and providing three assists in 20 games.

He is often deployed on the left side of the attack but can also play as a centre forward.

Given his level of consistency, class, quality and experience he would be a sensational addition to the Blues squad but many would suggest Conte ditch his plans for the Real Madrid superstar in favour of realistic targets since it may be another strategy for an improved contract at the Bernabeu.
