Chelsea open transfer talks with club for in-form striker – report



Premier League giants, Chelsea have reportedly made an enquiry over in-form Porto star, Moussa Marega over a potential January move this month.

Antonio Conte’s side have fallen 16 behind runaway Premier League leaders, Manchester City in the title race so far this season and the manager has always spoken of his desire to bolster his squad this winter transfer window in other to reduce the growing gap set by the Citizens.

Metro reports that Chelsea have made enquiries about the possibility of signing Malian forward, Moussa Marega this month having enjoyed a brilliant start to the season.

The Malian international began his career at local Evry FC but secured a move to FC Porto in January 2016 from Portuguese side, C.S Maritimo for an undisclosed fee on a four-year deal of which a €40 million buy-back clause was inserted into his contract.

However, on the 20th of July 2016, he was loaned to Vitoria S.C until the end of the season, but rejoined the Porto first team ahead of the 2017/18 season last summer.

The 26-year-old has been in sensational form for the Primeira Liga leaders so far this season scoring 14 times and providing four assists across all competitions in 22 games.

He is known for his finishing, pace, aerial prowess, dribbling, long shots, versatility, and his often deployed as a striker or a winger.

Given his age and abilities, he would be a quality addition to either the Blues and could be a good replacement for below par Michi Batshuayi.
