Chelsea pushing to complete double transfer deal in days

Chelsea are pushing for a sensational double move former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri and Napoli right-back Elseid Hysaj.

Reports from Italian tabloid Sport Italia claims the Blues are preparing a final bid to prise Sarri from Napoli.

The London side has been linked with the Italian for the past month, with a deal failing to materialize with former club Napoli. It is also reported that Chelsea are open to a swap between Brazilian defender David Luiz in exchange for the Albanian defender Hysaj.

Hysaj has a release clause of £44 million, but the west London club reportedly want to offer Luiz and a reduced fee for the 24-year-old.

Luiz has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge, with the player recently linked with a move to Naples. Luiz is reportedly considering a new challenge as he contemplates his future in England. Luiz is open to working with former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti. However, Napoli who are notorious negotiators may want to treat both deals separately, which means Chelsea would need to pay Hysaj buyout clause.

Moreover, Sarri’s situation is different as the Italian has been unable to wriggle himself off his contract with Napoli. Chelsea have reportedly offered Sarri a two-year deal which includes an option of an extra year.

Sarri, who has involved several lawyers in his dispute with Napoli, is keen to work in England. However, they are demanding a sizeable compensation fee to release the highly rated manager.
