Reports have it that Borussia Dortmund are ready to complete the permanent transfer of Michy Batshuayi even as the striker is nursing an injury which has ruled him out of the season.

Batshuayi more like gave a farewell message via his social media account, Twitter, as he suggested that he may never get to don the German club’s colours again. No thanks to an ankle problem sustained in the 2-0 defeat to Schalke, the 24-year-old is likely to miss out of the 2018 World Cup this summer.

However, reports from England suggest that Dortmund are ready to make Batshuayi’s deal permanent notwithstanding his current fitness concern. The German club seem to be desperate to have the Belgian international to themselves, and are reportedly ready to sanction a bid in the summer transfer window, as per report from Evening Standard. The report also says that Chelsea may consider the offer if a fee in the region of £50 million is tabled.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea are prepared to sell £33 million striker. However, he could finally leave the Blues permanently if reports about Robert Lewandowski being linked to Chelsea happens eventually.

Batshuayi has seen better days in Germany, where he has recorded his personal best of nine goals in 14 games, but the decision to bring him back to Stamford Bridge is quite a tough call.
