Good News: Chelsea to resume talks for striker today

Chelsea are reportedly set to resume talks with Serie A giants, AS Roma over the potential sale of Bosnian forward, Edin Dzeko over a potential winter move to Stamford Bridge before the window shuts.

The Blues have been in the hunt for a striker so far this transfer window having watched summer signing Alvaro Morata struggle massively in front of goal with the striker failing to score in any of his last six games across all competitions.

The west London club were heavily linked with a move for West Ham striker, Andy Carroll this month but an unexpected six weeks injury saw the Blues end their interest in the target man.

However, the Premier League champions have now turned their attention to former Manchester City striker, Edin Dzeko who they believe will provide stiff competition for Alvaro Morata due to his quality and proven Premier League experience.

Sport Witness claim that the Blues are still in advanced talks with the Serie A outfit over the possibility of signing the Bosnian centre forward this month with talks set to resume on Monday and will be hoping to reach a breakthrough with the Romans before the window shuts.

It is believed both sides are struggling to agree on a fee for the striker but the Serie A side could be open to the idea of the Blues including out of favor Chelsea striker, Michi Batshuayi as a makeweight in any potential deal.

He is one of the deadliest strikers in the Serie A and would definitely be a fantastic addition to the Blues.

The 31-year-old has been in sensational form for the Giallarossi so far this season scoring 12 times and providing four assists.
