Chelsea see Madrid star as ideal Hazard’s replacement, fans will love him

Chelsea have reportedly earmarked Real Madrid winger, Marco Asensio as an ideal replacement for wantaway superstar Eden Hazard should the Belgian depart for the Bernabeu in the summer.

The Belgian playmaker has been heavily linked with a big money move to the Spanish capital at the end of the season with the Los Blancos set to undergo a massive overhaul this summer having fall 19 points behind arch-rivals and La Liga leaders Barcelona in the title race this season.

However, reports from Spanish publication Diario Gol suggest that the Premier League champions are making contingency plans for wantaway attacker, Eden Hazard should he decide to join the European champions this summer having earmarked Marco Asensio as an ideal replacement for the playmaker.

It is believed the Spanish attacking midfielder could be available for a fee around £45 million.

The highly rated midfielder has found games hard to come by at the Bernabeu this season and could be open to a move to the Premier League in the summer having played 32 games for the La Liga giants across all competitions this season scoring eight goals and providing four assists.

The 22-year-old has developed into one of the deadliest wingers in the La Liga since he joined Real Madrid on a six-year deal from Mallorca for a reported fee of €3.9 million on the 5th of December 2014.

He is known for his creativity, versatility, vision, passing, flair, shooting from distance, excellent dribbling skills and crossing.

With two years left on his existing contract at Stamford Bridge and the Hazard yet to sign a new deal, the Blues lining up Marco Asensio as a potential replacement for the Belgium international makes perfect sense given his age, quality and massive potential.
