Chelsea moves to keep N’Golo Kante as he is offered a new deal, dashing Paris Saint-Germaine’s hope of getting the player signed.

Following the club’s overhauling, new signings were made to the club and even some players were rumoured to be on their way out but with the intervention of the new coach Unai Emery, some of the player might have a change of plan by deciding to extend their stay in Stamford Bridge.

Kante can be said to be among the consistent players of the Blues following his move from Leicester City in July 2016, he is known as a diminutive and a hard-working player with an excellent ability as a box-to-box midfielder making him receive praises from former Chelsea coach Antonio Conte as he referred to him as a “complete midfielder”.

In a bid to reward Kante and secure his stay at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea are ready for an upgrade and making him the highest paid player of the club if need be.

The Times claim the 27-year old midfielder proposed contract would supersede Eden Hazards’ and become Chelsea’s highest paid player by earning about £290,000-per-week.

Recent speculation was Kante linked to a possible move to Barcelona after Gary Lineker put in a good word for him by urging former club Barca to get him signed.

However, if Kante decides to take the offer that doesn’t look like something to be rejected, it should be good news for the Chelsea fans as this shouldn’t be a time to lose any talent.
