Chelsea were able to keep Willian from the claws of United and Barcelona after his public falling out with former coach Antonio Conte. News coming from England suggest that the Blues are planning a new deal for the 29-year-old.

According to the report the Blues would give Willian a wage rise to around £150,000 up from his current £120,000 a week. Willian has emerged as a fan favourite since snubbing Tottenham to force a move to Chelsea from Russian side Anzhi Machakala in 2013.

New manager Maurizio Sarri is reportedly impressed with the Brazilian talents and views him as an important piece of his Sarri-Ball.  Willian is known for his explosive pace and set-piece ability scoring most of his goals from outside the box.

Former manager Antonio Conte had a public fall out with Willian as the 29-year-old used emojis to cover the Italian tactician in a picture posted after the FA Cup victory against United last season. Barcelona reportedly made 3 bids all rejected by the Blues for the pacy forward. He was also favoured to be on the verge of making a move to United but that also was quashed by the Blues.

Chelsea envisage a bright future for the Brazilian on the right side of attack in Sarri’s favoured 4-3-3 attacking formation.

Chelsea fans would undoubtedly be delighted that the club is ready to commit one of their best players to a long-term deal.
