Manchester United have travelled to Russia for their Matchday Two Champions League fixture against CSKA Moscow and here is some early team news. The Red Devils kick started their return to the Champions League with a comfortable 3-0 win at Old Trafford against Swiss side FC Basel. Belgian midfielder Maraoune Fellaini was not included in the team that travelled to Russia having picked up a knock in a heavy challenge from Shane Long in United’s 1-0 win at the St. Mary’s Stadium last weekend, Michael Carrick, Antonio Valencia and Phil Jones were also not included in the squad.
French midfielder Paul Pogba is still out injured with no return date set for the 24-year-old, while Ivorian defender Eric Bailly is included in the squad to face the Russian side having completed his three-match ban. He has been one of United’s top performers so far this season and he is eligible to make his first European appearance of the season, the 23-year-old was one of stand-out player in United’s victory at the St. Mary’s on Saturday and was praised by his manager after the game.
