What David De Gea said about Chelsea’s world record signing Kepa Arrizabalaga – revealed

Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has been signed and sealed by Premiership giants Chelsea from Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday evening for a crushing record sum of £71million.

The lump sum of £71 million fee eclipsed the record figure set by the Reds when they signed Alisson a few weeks back for the sum of £66.8million.

With the agreed sale of Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid, Maurizio Sarri’s was pressed to make the purchase deal.

The23-years old Kepa Arrizabalaga was second choice keeper for Spain, he was placed behind David De Gea during the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

There were many rumours concerning the future of the young Kepa, and his international teammate De Gea made some remarkable comments about him.

The pair have trained together a lot of times and worked together closely. De Gea was reported to have said even though Kepa is still very young, his mind is in the right place, he’s focused and that he has a long career ahead of him.

“Kepa is still very young. He has a long career ahead of him. But his head is in the right place,” said United’s No.1.

United’s shot stopper further described Kepa as a great goalkeeper and anyone who trained with him would realize that he is actually a high level player and competition on that level will grow him game by game.

Meanwhile, many are looking forward to the performance of the £71 million world record goalkeeper signed by the Blues.
