Deal Close: Chelsea on the verge of agreeing £30m deal for Arsenal target

Reports from England claim that Chelsea are close to securing a deal worth £30 million for Jack Grealish from embattled championship outfit Aston Villa.

The Blues have come up with an audacious offer in a bid to sign the 22-year-old midfielder on a permanent transfer. Aston Villa are set to cash in on their prized asset due to their current financial plight which has recently been brought to limelight by the media.

The club are struggling to meet financial requirements and are likely to sell high profile stars to relief their financial burden.

This has led to many clubs Premier League circling round the highly-rated midfielder with Tottenham, West Ham, Everton and Arsenal interested in the player. Aston Villa are demanding for a fee of £40 million to sell the player but it is believed a deal in the excess of £30 million should be sufficient to land Grealish.

According to club insiders Chelsea are prepared to offer an initial £30 million for the player with a loan back option available for the player. This would allow the Midland outfit to get needed funds to settle their tax bills while retaining the services of the midfielder for next season as they bid to return to top flight football.

Chelsea reportedly believe this will present a win-win situation for both clubs. The player recently stated his desire to stay in the Midlands for another season despite the club failing to achieve promotion.
