Done: Arsenal agree deal for the transfer of South-American star

Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement with Besiktas to loan David Ospina for the 2018-19 season.

According to reports from Fanatik newspaper, the deal has materialised with just the agreement for the buyout clause remaining.

Although, Arsenal are demanding a £7.1million clause but Besiktas would want the Gunners to accept a £5.1million future sale fee for Ospina.

The terms of the deal entails Besiktas not compelled to pay for the Arsenal player at the end of the season but if they intend signing him permanently, they would have to pay at the end of the league campaign.

Although, reports from Turkish-Football claims the Black Eagle have agreed on a personal term with Ospina as at last week.

Besiktas president Fikret Orman and transfer committee landed London on Tuesday to hold talks with Arsenal over the future of the Colombian international and on Thursday, Orman returned to Turkey without a deal agreed on yet.

Report from The Fanatic also reveals that Besiktas have agreed on a £2.25m [€2.5m] wage package with Ospina and Arsenal on their part have given Ospina the go ahead to leave Emirates this summer.

Ospina’s likely move to Besiktas appears to be in his best interest as Arsenal coach Unai Emery has confirmed that the likes of Ospina, Carl Jenkinson and Joel Campbell won’t be needed much for the 2018/19 campaign.
