Manchester United Fans would be relieved that the deal is set to be officially confirmed.

News from English sport outlet Skysports claims that Manchester United are set to unveil new signing Fred on Thursday.

United had earlier announced earlier this month that an agreement had been reached with Ukrainian Club Shakhtar Donetsk for the 24-year-old. However the deal has not been confirmed as the player was yet to be granted work permit.

The deal has also stalled over personal terms as Fred is yet to commit to any contract. Fred representatives have reportedly told United that the player has put pen to paper on the deal agreed by both parties.

He is expected to partner Matic and Pogba in the midfield. United expect Fred to bring fluency to a midfield that has been accused of lacking creativity. The midfielder is known for his set piece ability and long range passing.

Fred was initially close to a deal to United rivals Manchester City in January but the deal was called off as the Premier League champions turned their attention to Napoli Star Jorginho.  United have been busy since the announcement of young fullback, Diogo Dalot from Porto and have been linked with a move for Welsh star Gareth Bale.

Fred is currently with the Brazil squad in Russia and is expected to play against Costa Rica having recovered from an injury that kept him out against Switzerland.
