Done Deal: Transfer target tacitly confirms he has completed Arsenal move

Arsenal Target Bernd Leno has intensified rumours linking him to London with his recent activity on his social media feed.

The 26-year-old on Instagram liked a post linking him as the number one target for the Gunners this summer. This has resulted in reports claiming that the player is very close to a move to the Emirates. According to some reports from Germany, the goalkeeper has earlier been to London to secure a deal with Arsenal.

Daily Star reports that the goalie has agreed to sign personal terms to join Arsenal.

Arsenal are set to land the German as a replacement for veteran first choice stopper, Petr Cech who has one year left on his contract. Leno is ten years his junior and is seen as a long-term replacement for the experienced Czech international. Leno has also been linked to Italian club Napoli with the player very close to a move to the club last season.

His current employers Bayer Leverkusen are opened to selling the stopper who has a £22 million buy-out clause in his contract. The German club are willing to let the player go having brought a replacement for the long-serving goalkeeper.

Leno 26, was part of the Germany team that won the confederations cup last year. However, the player is reeling over his failure to make the world cup squad, having been dropped recently by Joachim Low.
