Ed Woodward orders Mino Raiola to complete super defender move

Manchester United are currently in dire need of an experienced centre-back this season but it looks as though there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Latest report suggest that Manchester United want to sign Kostas Manolas ahead of the 2019/20 Premier League campaign. This information was made available by Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, who says talks have already been held with the Roma star’s agent, Mino Raiola.

United have been tipped to make a move for a top-level pro this month, with Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly thought to be their prime target.

Raiola, who helped deliver Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Paul Pogba to Old Trafford, might as well facilitate the deal of Manolas.

Schira, who works for Calcio Mercato and La Gazzetta dello Sport, has now lifted the lid on United tracking Manolas, as they look beyond the current campaign to the coming season in order to keep up with a formidable team in the nearest future, though it is also rather too late to sign the defender in the January transfer.

Sachira also wrote on Twitter that The Red Devils are really interested in Manolas for season’s campaign and talked with his agent Raiola. United’s decision to go after Roma’s Manolas may have been shaped by the fact Koulibaly could cost a world-record £100m.

With United ready to meet Manola’s release clause, he might be signed next season.
