Forget Carroll, prolific striker drops huge Chelsea transfer hint

Leicester City striker, Jamie Vardy has reportedly fueled speculation amid links to Stamford Bridge this month.

Despite signing Ross Barkley from Everton for a reported fee of £15 million last week, the Premier League champions are still in the market for a target man after scoring just three goals in their last five games across all competitions.

The form of Alvaro Morata has been a huge headache to both Antonio Conte and the fans with the Spanish striker failing to score in his last six games across all competitions.

The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for West Ham striker Andy Carroll as a back-up option to Morata with Conte ready to loan out of favour striker, Michy Batshuayi, but an unexpected injury has seen the west London club switch to other transfer targets.

However, reports making the rounds understand that English striker, Jamie Vardy might be interested in joining the west London club after he was spotted liking one of the fans comments begging him to join Chelsea on his Instagram page.

Below is Jamie Vardy caught liking one of the comments linking him with a move to Stamford Bridge on his social media platform account, Instagram;

The 29-year-old has grown into one of the deadliest strikers in the Premier League since he secured a move to Leicester City for a reported fee of £1 million from Fleetwood Town in the summer of 2012.

He is known for his pace, finishing, versatility, work rate, positioning, excellent heading abilities and also a good penalty taker.

The Englishman has featured in 25 games for the former Premier League champions across all competitions scoring 10 times and providing one assist.

Although, he isn’t on the list of Conte’s transfer target he would be a good addition to the Blues and will serve as an upgrade to both Andy Carroll and Michy Batshuayi.
