Forget Dembele: The one player Unai Emery wants Arsenal to sign before close of window

Arsenal’ new head coach Unai Emery have been on the news of recent as he has been taking charge and making some adjustment in a bid to prepare for the new season.

Recently, speculation have been making rounds about Steven N’Zonzi moving to the English side but a deal is not forthcoming despite the little time left for the transfer window to close.

However, Emery has indicated that Arsenal are still open to sign the French player before the end of the summer.

Despite the arrival of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi, the manager isn’t satisfied and would love to have N’Zonzi on his team for a better midfield in preparation for the new season.

The 29-year old midfielder who recently finished as winners in the World cup has formerly played under the leadership of Emery during his time in Sevilla is set to exit Nou Camp but Barcelona are not willing to change their mind about the player’s release clause of £35million, stressing that it must be met.

In an interview, Emery stated that he is happy with his players and also the incoming ones but the possibility of them signing one more player is high.

A reunion with Emery is hoped for N’Zonzi as we wait for a deal to materialise.
