English giants Chelsea have been reportedly named amongst the suitors interested in securing the signing of Krzysztof Piatek in January.

A host of clubs have been rumoured to be interested in the player who has scored 13 goals already this season in just 8 appearances for Genoa in Serie A, making him one of the most in-form striker in Europe.

The 23-year-old only joined the club last summer and Genoa are unwilling to do business with any club. They are expected to slap the sum of €60m on him to ward off interest from lurking European clubs.

In addition to the huge transfer fee that could reportedly be required to sign him, his agent has declared that no offers whatsoever has been received from myriad of unnamed interested clubs.

‘Many clubs have contacted us, but there has been no formal offer,’ Szymon Pacanowski told CalcioNapoli24. ‘Many clubs have contacted us over the last few weeks, but I won’t name them.

‘However, there has been no formal offer from any club, including Napoli. ‘His value has certainly risen over the three months in Serie A, but right now we are happy to remain at Genoa.’

Napoli are thought to be huge admirers of the striker with Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Juventus also believed to be monitoring the player.

Chelsea, however are believed to want to boost their squad in January after a very lukewarm transfer activity in the summer.

Also, the strikers at the manager’s disposal are yet to lit up the Premiership since his arrival in the summer even though they are yet to lose. So interest in any goal scoring striker will be rife as the build up to the January transfer window nears.
