Liverpool ace man Phillipe Coutinho will be anticipating a return to action for the English side on Saturday in the league match against Burnley after coming on as a substitute in their 2 – 2 draw against Sevilla on Wednesday.

The talented Brazilian midfielder who failed in his attempt to force a move to Barcelona during the summer transfer window has since returned to Liverpool and will be looking to regain his spot in the starting line up for the Merseyside Red team.

His return could possibly have these effects on the team and players

Boost Morale of Teammates

The return of the gifted Brazilian is expected to boost the morale of his teammates both in the locker room and on the pitch as he has not only been a leader to them but also a key element in the Liverpool team over the years.

Regain Fans Confidence

Earlier in the week, Coutinho received a warm welcome with a loud cheer from the Liverpool fans after coming on as a substitute against Sevilla which proves that all love is not lost between the Brazilian and the fans of the English side. Due to this reason, he should be looking to repay their love and warm reception with a masterclass performance.

Cover for Mane’s Absence

Liverpool were dealt a big blow in their last EPL match against Manchester City after Sadio Mane who has arguably been their best player so far this season picked up a red card which will see him miss three matches despite appeals to have the suspension reduced. With this recent event, the team will be needing Coutinho to rise up to the event and cover for the absence of the Senegalese.

Road to 2018 World Cup

Virtually every professional player around the world will be looking to make it into their National teams in preparation for the World Cup and that includes Coutinho. Knowing fully well that club performances goes a long way in national team selections, he’ll have no choice but to give nothing but his best for Liverpool so as to convince his national team coach of his readiness to play at the World Cup.
