Gary Lineker reacts to Chelsea FC’s 3-2 win over Arsenal

Barcelona and Tottenham legend Gary Lineker was among the majority expecting the game between Chelsea and Arsenal to be a drab match. The game had lots of shots, chances and most especially goals with five scored in total by both teams.

Chelsea scored two quickfire goals as Pedro opened the scoring which was doubled by a tidy finish from Spanish forward Morata after some woeful finishing from Aubemayang.

However, Arsenal refused to cave in scoring two goals in quick succession as Mkhitaryan and Iwobi brought the Gunners on level pegging at halftime. Arsenal looked to be on the ascendency until the introduction of Hazard and Kovacic. The duo began to orchestrate things pulling moves off and the pressure paid off with a late winner  after Hazard assisted Marcos Alonso,

Liniker is excited that the league is back and called the fixture between Chelsea and Arsenal a fluid way of playing just like pub football..

Both clubs have a week before their next fixtures as Chelsea face Newcastle away to Saint James Park, while Arsenal entertains West Ham at the Emirates. Linekar gained popularity as a former Tottenham star an had successful stints including a world record deal as at that time.
