Good News: Mourinho tells Ed Woodward to sign 395-goal striker

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has reportedly given the Red Devils chief the green light to bring back Cristiano Ronaldo to Old Trafford this month amid uncertainty surrounding the Portuguese future.

The Portuguese international has been heavily linked with a move from the Spanish capital after the Los Blancos refused to offer him a new contract that will see him earn the same as Neymar and Lionel Messi.

It is believed the Veteran striker feels betrayed by Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez who failed to honor his words by promising the winger a new contract after playing a starring role for the Spanish giants as they became the first side to retain the Champions League since AC Milan in the 1988/89 and 1989/90 season.

However, reports from Spanish Outlet Sexta understand that Ronaldo is keen on a move to the Theatre of Dreams and it is believed Jose Mourinho would love to sign him if available.

Though, he has a release clause of €1 billion, reports in Spain suggest he could be allowed to leave the Bernabeu for a fee in the region of £176 million with the Los Blancos feels he is no longer at the peak of his powers after scoring just four times in 14 appearances in the La Liga so far this season.

A recent poll amongst the Madrid fans claim 70% of Madridsta wants the Talisman gone having watched their side fall 19 points behind arch-rivals and La Liga leaders, Barcelona in the title race this season.

The 32-year-old has featured in 15 games across all competitions for the Los Blancos this season scoring 15 times and providing three assists.

Given his level of consistency over the last ten years, he would be a brilliant addition to the Red Devils squad but there are question marks being raised over his age.
