Good news: Sarri confirms Chelsea star is set to be fit for Tottenham clash

Chelsea are getting prepared to play with their London rivals and doing everything possible to get their best players ready to play and possibly win the match.

In a bid to get the Blues winning the match, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is getting the players prepared to get something good out of the match. One of the player that is expected to be available for the derby showdown is Mateo Kovacic.

Mateo Kovacic who is on loan from Real Madrid did not participate in the recent match between his team Croatia and England due to an ankle injury.

There is a chance for Maurizio Sarri to include Kovacic in the squad as the player trained fully this week and the manager believes the midfielder would be fit enough to play in the London derby match with Tottenham Hotspur.

Maurizio Sarri explained further by saying Mateo Kovacic is doing better. He said the player was down with ankle injury but participated in training with the rest of the team and should also be ready for the derby match.

Sarri spoke at a media conference on the eve of the match at Wembley and he confirmed that there are no significant injury concerns in the Chelsea team after the international break.

Sarri explained: “Kovacic is doing better. He had an ankle problem but yesterday he did training with the team and so I think he will be able to play.”

Mateo Kovacic is an exceptional midfielder who has done well since joining Chelsea from Madrid and he is definitely going to make a lot of impact in Chelsea’s midfield.
