Harry Maguire makes final decision on Man United move

Harry Maguire’s name has popped out across news outlet over the few days as United interest in the player goes strong. United are reported to have inquired about the player from Leicester City as Mourinho ponders a move for the 25-year-old defender.

United have been linked with several centre-backs this summer as Mourinho seeks to improve his options at the back.

Maguire has been linked with a move to a big club on the back of his heroics at the World Cup as he showed his defensive prowess in England’s run to the semifinals.  Leicester are unwilling to sell and have placed an asking price of £80 million to dissuade United from the transfer.

Skysport reporter Rob Dorsett has revealed the mindset of Harry Maguire claiming that the player has made up his mind about leaving Leicester.

“He does want to go to Old Trafford.” said Dorsett

“That’s been made pretty categorical to me in the last couple of days so you know that plays into the thinking of Leicester a little bit.”

The lure of donning the famous Red Devils jersey and competing for trophies may have played a role in the Maguire’s decision.

Maguire currently earns £105,000 weekly at Leicester and would receive a significant increase if he completes the move to Old Trafford. It has been a spectacular two years for the 25-year-old from the bench at Hull City to starring at the World cup.

United fans may have their reservations about the defender but he is currently an upgrade to the club centre-back options except for Eric Bailey.
