“Why i didn’t join Manchester United” Fabinho reveals

Liverpool’s lavish summer spending should make them have an edge over other clubs in the title challenge for this season.

Coach Jurgen Klopp’s goalkeeping lapse has bounced back with the arrival of Alisson Becker, not forgetting the arrival of Xherdan Shaqiri that has boosted his attacking options and his midfield is now more balanced with the signing of Fabinho and Naby Keita.

Liverpool are bent on making a better comeback for this season’s campaign as they are always ahead in the race of signing a player beating the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Chelsea.

Fabinho was rumoured with a possible transfer move to Old Trafford and a deal was speculated to be in view to materialise.

The summer transfer ended and the Red Devils didn’t secure the signing of Fabinho as regards the speculations that was making rounds but the Brazilian has revealed what really transpired.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Fabinho confirmed that United never made an official approach, they didn’t come forward with a deal to sign him.

“Manchester never showed any formal interest, they never made me an offer at all,” he said

“Maybe there was some interest or a conversation but it’s not a case of Monaco not letting me go to Manchester United or denying me the move, nothing ever really materialised.”

Meanwhile, Klopp has revealed that the 24-year old Brazilian won’t be making his debut appearance for the Reds in their Sunday match against West Ham as he has been ill for some days.

However, Klopp has cleared the air on Fabinho’s health challenge as he stated: “Fabinho is clear, he had a scan but the check was clear.”
